We Made it To Disney!

Well, we made it to Disney World....Orlando, Florida!  We had some minor problems, but nothing too serious.  If nothing makes sense here, sorry ahead of time...been up since 4:15am and just wanted to get a quick blog out to let everyone know we made it fine....and to post a few pics!

We missed our plane this morning....well not actually missed...we were scheduled to leave at 6:45am this morning, but we didn't get to baggage check until 6:00am, which apparently is too late.  So we ended up catching a flight out at 8:00am.  This probably worked out for the better since security was a pain in the butt...and with two kids to strip of shoes, coats, diaper bags, carry ons, our stuff, we would have never made it.  The plane ride went unexpectedly well....the kids made it through fine, with very little fussing, and no problems otherwise.  We hit a good amount of turburlance, but I prefer it that way! 

Traveling day really sucks!  After getting to the airport, checking in, going through security, flying, going to baggage claim, catching the bus to the hotel and checking in again...it is definitely not fun.

But we are here and fine, and even made it to Magic Kingdom today for a while.  I had to drag everyone through, but I was NOT wasting a day in Disney!

Some random things that happened today:

I woke J Girl at 4:30am and asked her if she wanted to go see Mickey Mouse...she sat up in her bed and without missing a beat, said "Sure!"

While taxing in the runway, which by the way we had to wait for 12 planes to take off first, J Girl kept asking when we were going to "Blast Off"!

I want to say "Sorry" to the people sitting in front of us on the plane....J Boy was using their hair to amuse himself...which worked for a little while before they started getting agitated.

And finally, another "Sorry" to the hotel housekeeping. J Girl had too much chocolate milk today at Disney...and shortly after falling asleep tonight, started coughing, and puked all over the bed.  Then it took all our towels to clean her up and bath her.  Poor housekeeping just brought up extra pillows and blankets, then had to make another trip with new bed linens, towels, and take pukey stuff away!

Okay...no pics on this page....the internet connection at the hotel tonight is really sucky....I got a few posted here, so go check them out.  I'll see what I can do tomorrow.

Friday Friends!

I would like to start Friday Friends.  Although I can imagine it in my own mind, I guess I should explain!

Friday friends would be a guest blogger that I invite to blog on Stinky John Jones.  It can be a friend, relative, or another blogger from the blogosphere!  I am hoping that this will take off....and I think it will allow others to get to know each other and their views.  Sometimes looking through someone else's eyes can really wake you up, you know.

I Hate Wednesdays!

Today....it is going to be pretty hard to come up with a good "I Hate". 

I do have one though!

"I Hate" that you wait all year for Christmas, trying to find that perfect gift and wishing for the perfect gift to be received, only for the holiday to speed by so fast you are left wondering where it all went.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

We had a very nice holiday!  The kids really enjoyed opening presents this year, and J Girl understood the meaning of Santa.  We had to hold her back this morning and wait for her brother...then they tore through their presents! 

Santa brought a trampoline...not a large one, but big enough to take up A LOT of space in the living room....but to see J Girl's face trying to figure out how Santa got this huge gift into her house was priceless!  They jumped until they were sweaty!  I know Santa was also thinking of me when he brought this, because it made for a nice long nap for J Boy today.

Although J Boy still was not too happy to see Santa, J Girl finally warmed up...it only took 3.5 years....we taught her too well about strangers!

So...hope you all had a great holiday....and I will leave you with a couple pics of the little rascals!

Getting in the Christmas Spirit

To all who have visited my blog, you may have noticed that the banner has changed!  It took me a while, but I am finally getting into the Christmas Spirit!  Maybe because tomorrow is Friday, which means a little vacation, or maybe because of this!
Too cool huh.....I need this since I have a "little" someone who every night likes to lay under the Christmas tree and turn it on and off and on and off and on and off and on and off.....and sometimes like to pull some plugs so only half the tree is lit....and then I have to climb under the tree and turn it back on, and so on!

Don't you think this will look cool on my tree?  And since it is made of plastic, it falls under the guidelines of creating a toddler friendly tree!

Maybe this is why the cop didn't give me a Starbucks Gift Card!

Why Couldn't THIS Happen to Me!

If you read this blog, you should remember a story about me getting pulled over in my driveway.......well I think that cop got me confused with someone else, and was supposed to give me this!

I could definitely use some Starbucks instead of a big fat ticket!

Oh Yea! It's Wednesday! Time to Vent!

It's I HATE WEDNESDAYS...and I have a good one!  Lucky, because it seems that all your lives are just peachy keen!  Nothing to hate on, huh!  Come on people, comment, I am slowing drowning here!

Okay, my I HATE WEDNESDAY.........I hate it when someone breaks down on the highway and causes a huge backup!  Come on, if your car is falling apart, stay off the highway!  Do you think the high speed will keep it together...I doubt it!  Just stay off the highways...back roads for you my friend.  This way, when you break down, or if your muffler falls off, it doesn't affect the majority of us trying to get to work....and don't you remember me telling you that it takes me 35 minutes to get to work and I only got like 15!

So, now it's your turn....what do you hate....I know you got something.  If you are having trouble, try this:  Take your shoes off and run around your dining room table.  You are bound to smash your little toe into a chair leg....then think about what you hate....I am sure words you never even knew will fly from your mouth!

Countdown to DisneyWorld!

Just another countdown to Disney!  Can you tell, I am anxious to get out of here!  I need warmth, sun, someone else to take care of the kids....what?  Mickey can do it!

SO the countdown is..........11days!  Yea!

But tell me my wonderful readers (sorry, scoring points with my family, since I think they are the only ones who read this!)  what do you think of the Fastpass and Pal Mickey at Disney?  From what I have read, Pal Mickey is a stuffed animal with a sort of computer in him, that updates whenever you enter the parks.  He tells you show times, short lines, etc.  And the fastpass is a ticket you can get at a particular ride, that contains a time for you to go back and ride without waiting in line!  Both seem cool, but have no experience with either......and the last thing I want to do is wander around the park, with two screaming toddlers, aimlessly!

Do you Cloth Diaper?

How many of you out there use cloth diapers? (out of the 4 or 5 of you who read this!)

I am considering going to cloth!  I know, it may sound crazy, considering I barely have time to take a shower!  But I have been reading awful things regarding disposable diapers!  Such as, they contain a chemical that causes Toxic Shock Syndrom (TSS)!  I mean come on, it's okay that I assume the risk of this once a month, but my child!  And that they have been found to cause low sperm count and testicular cancer!

After reading this, I couldn't help feeling that I let my son down...for our convenience, we may have unknowingly caused harm to him.  I feel awful....so the least I can do is use cloth for the remainder of his diaper days, which could be 1.5 years!  If you would like more info, read this.

So, I have hit the web, and honestly have no idea where to begin.  There are all kinds of cloth diapers, like all in one, pre-fold, contour, etc.  So what do I do?  How many do I need?  Do I need pins....because I can barely get his current diaper on as it is!  Oh God!  What have I got myself into...and I can just see it...if his father didn't have an excuse before, now he will be all like, "I can't change him, I don't know how!"

So what do you think my few friends....do you use cloth?  If so, PLEASE HELP!
