Just another example of how quickly we need to take action........
For some unknown reason, we thought it would be beneficial for the kids to have a good head on their shoulders....you know....be smart and all....that book learnin' stuff.
But, they are now using that against us.....well at least against Big Daddy, since I can still run faster than they can...nanananana as I stick out my tongue and run smack into the wall cause you have to look back and see if they are gaining on ya........
Anyway, they KNOW! They have totally caught on that Big Daddy can't get up without a lot of moaning and groaning and pure adrenaline for food cause I have put him on a diet and he can't get to the fridge to break it! So they taunt him. They will act out right in front of him and then run JUST OUT OF HIS REACH cause they KNOW! This is fairly amusing to me, but it is not helping in the discipline department.....which, as we KNOW, is causing mutiny.
I thought that was as bad as it gets until I saw/heard THIS...........
Last night Big Daddy crutched on over to the bathroom. I was sitting on the couch with my back turned to that direction, so I had no idea what was happening in the background.
"Val! Where are my crutches?" he yelled from the facilities. You see, he can't put any weight on that leg so he needs the crutches to get up from the, um, uh, john.
"I don't know! How did you get in there?" I answered with frustration, cause again....he is calling my name and we know how irritated I am hearing that word.
"I used the crutched, god damn it. Now where are they?" he screamed louder.
It was at about this moment I heard hushed giggling. He must have heard it to, cause what came next caused me to fall to the floor in fits of laughter.
"J Girl!!!!!! Bring me my crutches NOW!!!!!!!!!"
Now, that's my girl.
I know, I know...I can hear it now MOM.....in my best Granny voice....you are sending mixed messages by laughing.
But who wouldn't right? I was just mad she thought of that little trick before me.

Oh my gosh, my family would totally do something like that too. Glad to hear that hubby is doing okay and sorry about the next 5 weeks!! Guess you will really need our Philly Blogger night out, huh??!!

Oh no- that's just like animals in the wild sensing when one is injured and taking advantage of it!!!!! My kids would be all over that.
