My Milkshake Brings All the Kids to the Bed, Damn Right It's Better Than Yours

Last night just might have been the first night in 4 years that I got to sleep in my bed.....alone....well....for at least most of the night.

That's right.  It could have been due to pure exhaustion on the kid's part, but still....I'll take it.

Yesterday, they played in the pool at a friend of ours house most of the day, which in turn, worked out fantasmic (kind of a mix between fantastic and orgasmic if you didn't already know) for Mommy. 
It seems as if we have solved our problem with J Girl not sleeping in her own bed.  The key?  Just make sure she is falling into the wall tired and bam!  She is asleep in her bed.....practically begging to go to bed. 

And with Big Daddy on the couch since he seems to have found a comfortable position....that leaves me all alone.  A big bed totally to myself.  No one's knees in my back, no one smacking me in the face as they roll over, not one cough or mucus-vomit thrown in my direction.  Completely and utterly alone....at peace....the remote in one hand, all 6 pillows to myself.  Alone.  I will say it again.  Alone. 

Until 2am, when the child in question woke up and realized she was in her own bed.  And came running  to invade my space.  My alone space.  I was all comfy in the middle until she pushed me over.  And then......as quickly as it came....it was gone. 

But I would still give my right arm for that to happen again tonight. So tell me Oh Goddess of Sleep...is it in the cards to happen again?  Oh sorry...didn't mean to insult your sexual orientation Oh Man of Sleep.....I shoulda known it was a man in charge of sleep.  When was the last time you heard a guy complaining of not getting enough sleep from being up with the kids all night, huh?

LOVIN' THE NEW LOOK!

I used to travel for work (before the Toddler) and it was so BEAUTIFUL to sleep in a bed by myself from time-to-time. I wish I could get just one night like that. Just one.
