I never claimed to be a fantastic cook. At times I may use the smoke detector as an oven timer. But, we get by, so I must be able to whip up enough to sustain my family.
That said.....when the stove catches on fire....it can definitely hinder the cooking skills, ya know.

Been there. Burned that. Left the house smelling like smoke for three days afterwards. That, in spite of the huge powerful fans the firefighters brought in to help blow the smell out of the house. Eh, not so much. :)

Just a hint, it's generally a good idea to remove the food BEFORE the fire starts. Unless, of course, you're cooking hibachi style. Then fire is just part of the show.

Hey Val,
Does hubby know this Emeril guy is moving in awfully close to you there? Anyhow, next time the stove catches fire, try making smores before it burns out. :)
