You know the scene....you fill your child's plate with healthy selections only they refuse to eat anything but the ketchup. Some days you just don't want to bother with the fight, right?
Lucky for me, my kids are not really fussy eaters. I never gave them an option. Either you ate what I cooked or you don't eat at all. No way was I going to cook separate meals for each child. That being said, dinner time is not perfect either. Trying to get J Boy to sit still long enough to eat is a feat in itself. But I think we may have come up with a diversion. Not only is he interested in eating but he gets his daily dose of veggies to boot!
Please excuse the mash potatoes stuck to his face...he may eat what I give him but no one ever said he was neat about it!

That is a great idea...I am totally going to have to try to make veggies into a game for my son. He hasn't had a veggie since baby food and even then we had to mix it with fruit.

Viv is a ketchup eater.. She will eat anything as long as it has ketchup. She got that from me.
Margie is totally right.. they do mimic everything.
Viv is also big on cereal. Not sugary kid ones.. She likes Product 19 & Total... She likes to have that for her afternoon snack. That she totally didn't get from me. I will take a chip or cookie anyday over a healthy bowl of bran.

ha ha! My older daughter once told me that she couldn't eat peas because they were "sad". I gave up.

Haha! That's awesome....I totally agree w/you about the eating thing and my son is a good eater as well. Maybe it's a boy thing? I also think sittin down as a family really makes a difference at dinner time - they mimic everything you do! But...if he doesn't want to eat one night, than that's fine, but you get nothing else, lol.
