We have a routine. One that we follow each and every night after work, except Fridays. I figure, God took a resting day, so why shouldn't we, right?
Anyway, on this particular evening, Dave busied the kids while I began to straighten the house. Making beds, doing the dishes, preparing dinner, throw a load of laundry in, etc. Normal stuff.
As I move into Stink's room, I get the faint odor of urine. Quickly, I dismiss it. Maybe it's just that 'boy' smell. You know the one. Sweat mixed with toilet water.
But, nope. I couldn't be too lucky.
Because, as I turned around to clean up his toy area, I was confronted with a puddle.
Which was clearly urine. On top of his train table.
ON TOP.
Yes.
ON TOP.
How does urine get ON TOP of the table? He can't possibly achieve that.
ONLY HE CAN.
WHEN HE PEES IN A RUBBER FIREMAN'S BOOT AND PUTS IT THERE!
Why? Please, someone answer me. Why?

Maybe I don't want to potty train after all. A 12 year old in diapers...OK..right? I mean, he can change his own poopy diaper...right?
Right?
Ugh!

Great. Is this what I have to look forward to? Note to self: remove that train table from the boy's room - NOW!

Oh honey. You need to drink. Start now and don't stop until he is 18.

I am laughing hard at this one! I can't leave Ian alone for long for fear that he will do something like this. He once went pee on his sisters bed and laughed the whole time.
Gotta love boys.
And I agree - boy's have a funky smell - its in my 9 year olds room ALL THE TIME!

Arrrgh! Boys and their hoses. Does it help to think that at least he was practicing his aim?
