This weekend marks 2 weeks since the dreaded news.
Timber visited the Vet this weekend for a re-check, and unfortunately, the long bone is still painful to palpate.
Thus, another round of medication and complete rest.....for at least a week before re-check and most likely 3 weeks past that.
Let's just hope he has a clear radiograph by then.....some pups take between 2-3 months.
Other than that....he has been wonderful. Imagine a puppy on complete rest storing all that pent up energy with no release. It can be quite challenging to keep him quiet, as you can imagine.
Not to mention that he wants to take all that energy out using his mouth and those puppy teeth. And most of the time, on the kids since they are an easier target.
I spend a lot my time refereeing the three of them.
Now for some awesome recognition and bloggy love.......
I would like to give a shout out.....and a huge thanks
to Nancy at Three's Company for the donation to the Veterinary Clinic! When Dave went to pick up Timber's refill he was very happy. Even the girl's behind the desk over there were overjoyed. Apparently that does not happen very often. Timber sends a nice sloppy wet kiss your way!
And another shout out and huge thanks to Mandy at Mommy Cracked!
Medication is key here in Timber's recovery as we need to support him for the pain and inflammation. And believe me, your donation will go a long way! A nice sloppy kiss from Timber is coming your way also! Just watch those puppy teeth!
Love Timber (and Val)
