This one is for Lora....who asked about the kids.....
And it's funny you ask because just in the last few days they have produced more blog fodder then ever!
As for Stink...he is having a hard time with his asthma, brought on by a cold that produces more snot than an entire Kindergarten class. At the doctors on Monday and prescribed Prednisone along with his neb treatments every 4 hours and continue with his inhaler. His first Prednsione was given at the office and not a half hour later he jumped onto my kitchen table and tried to swing from the hideous wagon wheel light that hangs over it. At first I was like, yeah go ahead. Rip the thing out of the ceiling because that may be the only way I ever get rid of the thing. But then I thought better along with my $100.00 ER co-pay and what I could do better with that money. So I gently pried his fingers off and grounded his feet to the floor. Needless to say, he is not handling the meds well and neither is Mommy. Or the rest of the people within listening distance of us.
What's better is that not two weeks ago Chachi went back to school after being out for 10 days with her asthma, brought on by allergy season. She was on an antibiotic, neb every 4 hours, nasonex, clariton and two inhalers. Now add that up with an ER visit and three doctor's co-pays and what do you get? At least 3 pairs of Uggs for Mommy. And just the month before she broke her arm jumping from the counter after sneaking into the medicine cabinet, which was another ER co-pay. I think our family alone is bringing the local hospital out of bankruptcy. The least they could do is send us a fruit basket, preferably Edible Arrangements just in case they are reading this....hi hospital.....
Oh, and the best part.....Chachi got kicked out of school today. The kid is really racking up the miles in Kindergarten. And surprisingly it had nothing to do with using her classmate's braids for reins on her pretend horse.
I received a call from the school nurse asking for her vaccination record. The one I have been avoiding all year because I really don't want to go in front of the school board. For one, I know I can not hold back my temper if the talk of taxes comes up...and that will definitely not bode well for my case. Not to mention the incredibly rude bus driver and how we have almost been to blows on several occasions. Coupled with the fact that we don't even use the public school system yet I pay out the ass.
Back to getting kicked out.....apparently they do not appreciate our delayed vaccination schedule and just can not fathom having a titer done instead of just cranking my kid full of mercury. Whoda thunk it.
A quickly jotted letter from the pediatrician and we have an extension. Now, I just have to find out of that extension brings us to the end of the school year. If so, we're all good. If not....life is gonna suck for some school board official that I begin to harass.
Other than that life is peachy in the kid department. They continue to suck the life out of me and never sleep just like little vampires. But of course, I wouldn't change it. Before you know it, they will be out of the house and on their way. Whether or not that means military school is to yet be determined.
